EN In Porto Marghera among the oldest and most particular structures for the storage of materials (silos), we can find the so-called “Emporio Sali & Tabacchi”, built between 1926 and 1927 by Monopoli di Stato. It contained the cells of the silos Sali, in a very interesting and highly mechanized construction, that aesthetically looked like a big multi-storey building. Behind it in 1960-61 another storage facility with an interesting catenary section was built. The first design of the building belongs to Pierluigi Nervi while the executive design is dues to the engineer Carlo Pradella.
IT A Porto Marghera tra le strutture più antiche e particolari destinate allo stoccaggio di materiali (silos), si colloca il cosiddetto “Emporio Sali & Tabacchi”, costruito tra il 1926 e il 1927 dai Monopoli di Stato, che conteneva all’interno le celle del silos Sali, in una struttura molto interessante ed estremamente meccanizzata, che esteticamente sembrava un grande edificio multipiano. Nella parte posteriore viene costruito negli anni 1960-61 un capannone con sezione catenaria i cui primi disegni sono di Pierluigi Nervi mentre il progetto esecutivo é dell’ingegnere Carlo Pradella.
